Die Bewohner der Insel Neu Corethon haben in den letzten Jahren so manches erlebt – Gutes, wie auch Schlechtes – und so ist die Geschichte Athalons kein reines Machwerk der Fantasie, sondern ein Buch mit vielen Autoren und jeder Spieler trägt seine eigenen Zeilen zum Gesamtwerk bei.
Athalon ist eine Low-Fantasy Mittelalterwelt und Kernelemente unseres Rollenspiels sind eigene Kreativität und Vorstellungskraft. Hierbei finden sich in unserem Konzept auch einige Elemente aus klassischen Pen & Paper Rollenspielen wieder. Klassische Minecraft-Mechaniken, wie Minen oder Craften, stehen bei uns nicht im Fokus, sondern das Rollenspiel an sich. Es gibt bei uns Dinge wie Magie, fremde Kräfte und unwirkliche, dämonische Bestien, die bekämpft werden wollen, doch sei an der Stelle gesagt, dass alle spielbaren Charaktere normale Menschen sind – Orks, Elfen und Zwerge findet man bei uns nicht, dafür allerlei Kulturen, die auf der stürmischen Tropeninsel zusammenkommen.
